Throughout July the Grovelands PPI team have explored the impact PPI has had upon the financial services industry. Kim McInally offers a round up of the month, and comments on the future of PPI.
Over the past month we have explored the impact that PPI has had upon the financial services industry, the recruitment industry and the contracting world.
Whilst PPI has undoubtedly been one of the biggest scandals to face the banking industry, we have seen positive effects in the marketplace with the estimated creation of 20,000 jobs as detailed by Rob Furness in his blog “Positive Results in the Midst of the PPI Crisis”.
The PPI crisis has been ongoing for the past 5 years and as things begin to slow down, those who work in the PPI driven market are inevitably looking towards the future. Will the skills they have learnt during PPI projects be transferable or will they struggle to be seen as anything other than a PPI contractor? Emilia Pistilli raised some very interesting points in her recent blog “The PPI Pigeon Hole: Opportunity or Obstacle?” which inspired debate amongst our members in the Grovelands LinkedIn Group.
Whilst we do not know what the future market holds in relation to PPI, at Grovelands we are ensuring that we are keeping our eyes on the market and adapting our business to provide the best possible service to our clients and contractors, an example of which can be read about in Robert Furness’ blog “Grovelands PPI Team: Our Reaction to the Changing Market”.
The next campaign you will be reading about is from our TMT team, where they will be discussing the “Emergent Technologies and Recruitment Trends”. The TMT team is one of Grovelands’ newer ventures which is seeing a lot of interesting developments at the moment, so I hope you look forward to reading about them.
