2014 will be an exciting year for the Business Review team at Grovelands, with one of the key development areas being conduct risk programmes. Head of Business Review, Shaun Buckley, shares his expectations for the year ahead.
2014 is set to be an exciting year for Grovelands, as our CEO pointed out in his last blog; we are expanding at a rapid speed, allowing us to effectively service our clients. Whilst we work very hard to enable ourselves to predict the needs of our clients, one of the most exciting elements of our business is working collaboratively with clients to solve problems and to help them work through regulatory changes.
Our focus in 2014 will be aligned with that of our clients and the regulators; one area of development looks set to be conduct risk programmes, looking at how to ethically develop and sell product lines alongside a much more proactive and pre-emptive approach, which are essential for the industry.
Any change can be challenging for large organisations but there is a strong feeling amongst our network that regulatory change is not here to stifle, but to help the industry better serve the customers it relies upon.
Strong foundations, stronger future
The continued hard work, passion and development of the people across the Business Review team at Grovelands continues to be integral to our success. This year will see many Grovelanders further hone their industry and subject matter expertise, as well as progress into new and exciting positions, developing stronger connections within the sector.
Though recruitment didn’t stop over the holiday period (and neither did we!) we celebrated everyone’s hard work and successes for 2013 with a few hours of ice skating, and a glass or two of mulled wine in front of the Brighton Pavilion. Bruised and sore, we look forward to what this year will bring, and are more resilient than ever.
I look forward to sharing with you all of our challenges and successes in 2014!
