The Olympics could offer a great opportunity for businesses considering the huge investment being made to collaborate, to grow and succeed.
The Olympics is not just a once-in-a-lifetime UK event. The Games could actually offer a great opportunity for businesses of all sizes and in all sectors, considering the significant investment being made to collaborate, to grow and succeed.
A recent survey by RP Cushing shows that half the businesses questioned think that the Games will be beneficial to productivity. A quarter expect to see a normal summer, while only the remaining 25% think that London 2012 could have a negative impact on output.
Surprisingly, only 10% of businesses admit that they are completely prepared for possible disruption during the Games, while a further 60% have identified a risk of some kind but need to investigate further.
Preparing your business
It’s important to consider how much time or facilities you give staff to watch the Olympics, but to also bear in mind any possible travel delays around London.
London 2012 has produced an official PDF that offers useful advice and guidance on preparing your business for the Games. It includes tips on what you can do before, during and after the Olympics to maintain productivity and make the most of the opportunities available.
