Grovelands celebrated Christmas in style at a Regency themed banquet in a Tipi on the beach! Chloe Stevenson has written a poem about the evening’s festivities to accompany some photos from the night.
Twas the night of Grovelands Christmas Party, when all through the office,
Was talk of Christmas and banquets, and dancing and gossip.
Whilst laid out in the paddock were champagne and mince pies,
And soon all of Grovelands surrounded to dine.
The moon was high as we arrived at Brighton Music Hall,
Greeted by open fires and Winter Pimms for all.
When, what to our wondering eyes should appear,
But a Tipi ablaze with Christmas lights and festive cheer
After a Regency feast of pies, pork and panna cotta,
We moved to the dance floor to hear the sound of no other,
Than Alex Mayne beat-boxing and Chrissie Tidey singing,
After that the dancing was just beginning.
Many thanks to Emilia Powell for organising the event of the year,
And we celebrate a successful 2013, as the end draws near.
So from all of Grovelands as the festive season comes into sight,
“Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!”
