Grovelands had a spooktacular Halloween with lots of tricks and many treats. Chloe Stevenson has written a poem about the day, accompanied by some frightful photos!
It was a gloomy Halloween morning,
And that should have been our forewarning.
The Grovelands office began to fill
With creatures that would give you a chill.
Bearing gifts of cakes and sweets
And looking ready to eat.
Then commenced the games;
To mummify the team leaders was the aim.
The two witches arrived
And were given the task to decide:
Which team leader looks the most mummy-esque?
And which Grovelanders are best dressed?
The zombie C&R team earned the first games prize
By wrapping Tim up to his eyes.
The second was won by Jennifer’s team
Who wrapped her so tightly she couldn’t even scream.
Then the witches awarded four costume prizes,
Eventually they had decided…
The scariest costume was Kim,
Who wore a clown outfit in;
While most creative was Matt,
Who was awarded for his Mexican hat.
Then came the best dressed male and female prizes,
Which Dan and Hannah won for their bloody disguises.
Many thanks to devilish organiser Laura,
And of course to our judges Minnie and Florrie.
Happy Halloween 2013!
